Account Setup

EODH Workspace

To create an account on the Hub, you must first have set up a personal GitHub account. The GitHub username needs to be sent to the EODH team by emailing enquiries@eodatahub.org.uk, using this template, so the team can setup a workspace. The workspace will allow workflows, data and results to be stored on the Hub. A confirmation email will be sent once your workspace has been set up.

If you would like to use either EOPro or CLARAT, then please specify this in the email so that the correct permissions can be setup for your account. Information on the applications can be found
here.

When logging into the hub for the first time, you will be asked to authorize EO-DataHub using GitHub keycloak, so the account can be used to login.

Note: this is expected to take up to 2 working days for completion.

Access levels

Open Access allows you to:

Browse the web presence

Access the documentation tabs (About, Data, Getting Started)

Access and use the resource catalogue UI (STAC Browser)

Signed in but with no billing account / workspace allows a user to do the same as above, plus:

Access the Workspace UI (but no permissions to create or manage a workspace)

Be added to a EODH workspace managed by another EODH user which would provide the same access as users with a billing account

Signed in with a billing account / workspace allows a user to do the same as above, plus:

Create and manage their own workspace (e.g. add members) in the Workspace UI

Access the Notebook service and be able to create and run data processing / analysis workflows

Use Application Services

API Tokens

To obtain an API token, visit the Workspaces section. Choose the desired workspace and then select Credentials on the left hand panel. Under DataHub API Key click the Request New Token button. Enter a name and expiry time (note the maximum duration of an API token is 30 days). Copy the Token ID and API Key, these will not be available to view later.

NOTE: Early Testers do not need to set up their own Planet or Airbus account. You do not need to follow these instructions.

Planet Account

Required for using Planet data on the Hub. If you don't currently have a Planet account with active data access and are exploring solutions with budget allocated, please contact us at eodatahub@planet.com to discuss access options. To help us tailor our recommendations, kindly include a brief description of your intended use of Planet's data and your specific area of interest. More information about linking an existing account can be found here.

Airbus Account

Required for using Airbus data on the Hub. To access Airbus data, please request a OneAtlas account via the website. This account will need to be linked to the EODH, so that any data ordered is delivered to the EODH. To do this, please email a request to ukintelligence-imagerysupport@airbus.com. More information about linking an existing account can be found here.
